June 24, 2014: Now you can call, book and drive the luxury models of Mercedes-Benz, enjoying a personal luxury experience. The leading car rental company, Carzonrent and Mercedes-Benz have partnered to bring in India’s first self-drive luxury cabs, Myles. This service is offered with Mercedes C-class and E-class models and will be available in metros and major cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
The self-drive personal luxury segment is catching up in India especially in metros due to the better condition of roads, steep increase in the cost of drivers and availability of navigation systems to help in locating local destinations easily. Myles luxury self-drive service will have 1000 cars by 2015 and the plan is to increase to 5000 in three years time. Mercedes-Benz plans to extend this services to other cities adding other models of SLK and AMG versions subsequently.
Mercedes enjoys second position in luxury segment in India behind Audi and they believe that this partnership would help them extend their consumer reach across India. Carzonrent will provide facility to book these luxurious cabs by mobile and online. Users can book this services on a daily or hourly basis and rentals vary based on the models.
