21st April 2022: Centuary Mattress, India’s fastest growing mattress brand with a three-decade legacy, has secured the certification for developing high-quality products and complying with the global agency CertiPUR-US’s quality and environmental norms. The company has become one of the few Indian brands with the CertiPUR-US certification.
As the statutory, non-profit body responsible for testing and analysing the environment, health and safety properties of polyurethane foam used in bedding and upholstered furniture applications, CertiPUR-US verified Centuary’s products made using environmentally safe chemicals. After a rigorous testing process, CertiPUR-US concluded that Centuary products are sustainable with no ozone depleters and chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).
It is the Centuary’s relentless efforts and commitment to building environment-friendly solutions that have resulted in successfully passing the tests for quality and durability standards of CertiPUR-US. The brand had taken it upon itself to create 100% safe foam mattresses for Indian consumers. Centuary has recently launched India’s first Copper Gel infused memory foam, which not only comes with unique temperature control, pressure relief and Antimicrobial features but also meets the quality and durability standards of CertiPUR US.
The certification has come in time for Earth Day when consumers can make an environment-conscious choice with Centuary Mattress. CertiPUR-US certification will allow consumers to purchase foam products that have been tested and certified for the characteristics such as: being made with no ozone depleters, made with no heavy metals (including mercury and lead), made without prohibited phthalates, low VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), no BPDE (Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers) in fire retardants and made with no formaldehyde.
