“Check brand” is an online brand value analysis company. Recently it has announced the data for the online brand value of the top cricketers in the country. This is the 1st quarterly analysis report on the latest trending Indian cricketers by a private agency in the Country.
“Check brand” analyzed data of top 45 cricketers on social media from August to October 2020. Since this report is released for the first time in India, there is no comparison of the past data.
“Check brand” analyzed more than 100 million online responses for the report. By analyzing the responses in Twitter, Google Search, Wiki, YouTube, etc the most trending player was Yuvraj Singh with the value of 1622 followed by Rohit Sharma with 1591, Virat Kohli with 1574, Harbhajan Singh with 1376, and Parthiv Patel with 1362. It was surprising to know that three retired players were the top three trending players in the last quarter.
Virat Kohli is in the top position when it comes to social media engagement with followers of 1.1 lakhs then followed by M S Dhoni with 1.02 lakhs, Rohit Sharma with 0.80 lakhs, Kapil Dev with 0.51 lakh, and Hardik Pandya with0.40 lakh. Four cricketers such as Piyush Chawla, Axar Patel, Rahul Dravid, and Sunil Gavaskar have no engagement with social media.
The ex-cricketers who are in top positions are Kapil Dev with 8.8 lakhs, Dhoni with 6.2 lakhs, Irfan Pathan with 4.27 lakhs. Umesh Yadav has the maximum positive response of 86.3 % followed by Yuvraj Singh with 85.6%, Suresh Raina with 74.8%, Ashwin with 3.4%, and Kapil Dev with 73.7%
Virat Kohli is the winner when it comes to the overall brand value with 43.94, followed by Yuvraj Singh with 40.40, Sachin Tendulkar with 37.51, Umesh Yadav with 35.91, Suresh Raina with 35.01, and MS Dhoni with34.80. The total value is measured out of 100. Five parameters are considered for calculating this value which are trends (10), emotions (30), followers (20), engagement (20), and mentions (20).
Anuj Sayal, who is the MD of Check Brand stated that this is their first report and they plan to add more interesting categories in their next quarterly report. He added that they are eager to work for the cricketers and help them improve their digital presence.
