CleverTap completes acquisition of Leanplum

CleverTap, the most successful retention cloud provider in the world, announced today that it has finished acquiring Leanplum, the most successful multi-channel customer engagement platform in the San Francisco area.

The acquisition, the completion of which was announced on May 19th, was finished in a record-setting three weeks. As a direct result of this acquisition, CleverTap has significantly increased its presence both in the United States and Europe. CleverTap will combine the product stacks of both companies to provide solutions and technology of the highest calibre for all its customers and prospects located anywhere in the world. The position of Chief Strategy Officer at CleverTap has been given to Momchil Kyurkchiev, a co-founder of Leanplum. Following the successful completion of the acquisition, Norwest Partners, Shasta Ventures, Canaan, and Kleiner Perkins have joined CleverTap’s shareholders’ ranks. Beginning on June 1st 2022, CleverTap will see financial benefits from the acquisition.

According to Sunil Thomas, CleverTap’s Co-founder and Executive Chairman, “We are very excited to welcome Momchil and all Leanplum employees to the CleverTap family, and we expect full integration of the two companies, including a market-ready integrated product, to be completed within the next 3-4 quarters.” Customers will now have access to a wide range of product features and options, including A/B Testing, Segmentation, Campaigns, Journeys, and other similar features, as a result of this acquisition. We will now collectively become a dominant force with a large global footprint. At the same time, the addition increases our employees’ opportunities for growth, exposure, and learning.

The global Martech landscape is changing exponentially, and it is essential to have a hyper-personalized digital engagement at scale.
