Content-Tech Platform Knocksense Expands to Gujarat

Tuesday, 6th September, 2022: Knocksense, a content-tech platform on Tuesday announced their expansion plan to new 10 cities. The platform will start operations in Ahmedabad from September 15th.

After successfully acquiring 10,000+ paid subscribers, Knocksense now plans to expand to newer geographies like Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Bhubaneshwar, Agra and Surat to name a few.

Lucknow based Knocksense, in 2021 raised two successive rounds of funding from LetsVenture, We Founders Circle and Mumbai Angels Network for launch of their subscription cum transactions vertical KnockOFF.

Founded by brother duo Varul Mayank and Vibhore Mayank, Knocksense is a hyperlocal content driven transactions platform and is currently active in 6 regions in India – Mumbai, Lucknow, Kanpur, Goa, Indore and Jaipur.

Speaking on the launch, Varul said, “The unique aspect about Knocksense is that it provides content on a wide variety of city-centric topics, including local sports, local achievers, education, career, real estate, environment, health, lifestyle, nightlife, F&B, etc. Knocksense completely steers away from divisive subjects like politics, crime, and religion. The sole aim for Knocksense is to create a content network that produces original and hyperlocal content presented in a non-sensational way.”

Through KnockOFF, which stands for Knocksense Offers, we are monetising our content by giving our subscribers live events, privileges across a plethora of local brands and local non-divisive content, said Founder Varul Mayank. 

“After a successful run in Lucknow, Kanpur & Indore, we will now start our operations in Ahmedabad and launch other cities in next 6 months”, Varul added.

Through the App only subscription model, company in April-June’22 quarter Knocksense generated a GMV of more than Rs 3 cr + in Lucknow while more than 10,000 users actively used their subscription plans.
