Buyers have to pay more for cotton apparels now as price of cotton has increased. The cotton price is high because of low rainfall despite of the monsoon season. According to the reports the price for cotton apparels are expected to increase in coming weeks owing to the greater purchase by textile mills and yarn makers as harvesting season has ended.
The spot market price for cotton has increased by Rs200-300 per candy and the low rain forecast is again pushing the price up. The price is also increasing as a number of farmers are turning to other crops as they realize less price for cotton. The increase in cotton price will affect the middle class people who are the biggest consumers of cotton apparels.
