Covid Vaccination drive starts for 15-18 age group

The pandemic affected us in 2019 with the first wave drastically removing a part of the world in front of our eyes and the second wave during 2020 which also has impacts compared less to the first wave.

Now the world is facing the third wave, the Omicron surge, and the cases are rising and have a high scale report of it. As the government has implemented Covid Vaccination for all the age groups to prevent from being affected now our children is in the next row to take it. 

The vaccination of the age group from 15 to 18 commenced today and the vaccine option was developed with the help of Bharat Biotechs Covaxin. The procedure for booking your slot remains the same.

You can book your slot paid or unpaid through the site implemented by the government or Cowin App for booking the covid vaccination slots. The paid rate comes in between 750 -1000 and you will get the slot in the nearby hospital.

The unpaid slot will be available in any government hospitals near your place and once you take the first dose you will be certified for the same and the next dose needs to be taken after 3 months from the date you took your first dose.

After you take the second dose the final certificate will be given to you. You can download the same through the online website and the procedure for booking the slot remains the same.

The people with a date of birth 2007 or before are eligible to take vaccination from the age group between 15 to 18 years. The covid protocols remain the same and need to be followed by the people who address the vaccination centers

The session which took place on December 25, 2021, addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about the vaccination drive which starts for the children group and the government must follow the rules implied by the Union Health Ministry.

The Cowin App has already recorded six lakh registrations on Sunday from the age group of 15 to 18 years amidst the rise of the Omicron Surge in India. 

People are cautious to prevent the spreading or being affected by the third wave which mainly affects the children’s group as per the studies. 

The Union health minister advised all the states and the UT’s to strictly follow the government protocols in the vaccination centers and also to provide different vaccination counters in order to maintain social distancing.

The states including Delhi, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Rajasthan, Assam have started their vaccination drive from today and also enlisted 159 centers of vaccinations.

It has been set up by hospitals, dispensaries, polyclinics, government, and municipal schools. Vaccination drives have also been provided by technopark companies for their employee’s children.

Special protocols have been set up in the vaccination centers in the school and the school id is essential to prove along with the aadhar card.
