Major Vineet, speaks about the India-United Kingdom collaboration in cybersecurity, which is a critical and strategic partnership
New Delhi, 16 January ’24 : The Tech edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, held from 10th – 12th January 2024 in Gandhinagar under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel showcased India and its relation with the International Market.
Global leaders, dignitaries like the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, Mozambique President, Filipe Nyusi, and Timor-Leste President, José Ramos-Horta, also attended the summit along with the UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Business icons like Gautam Adani, Adani Group chairman, Reliance Industries chairman, Micron CEO, Sanjay Mehrotra, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, and Lakshmi Mittal were among the speakers.
One highlight of the event is the India-UK collaboration in cybersecurity which is a critical and strategic partnership that aims to enhance the cyber security of both nations. This collaboration has several key aspects. This collaboration is mutually beneficial, leveraging the strengths of both countries. India’s vast IT talent pool and growing digital economy, combined with the UK’s advanced cybersecurity capabilities and research infrastructure, create a formidable partnership in the global fight against cyber threats, a historic India-United Kingdom collaboration on cybersecurity.
Major Vineet Kumar, Global president and founder of CyberPeace, a global organization devoted to cybersecurity, took the stage and shared his gratitude to everyone for being a part of this event, contributing to the shared vision of bolstering cybersecurity efforts between India and the UK. He mentioned that everyone has a responsibility in Cybersecurity and tighter we can build a safer cyberspace.
Major Vineet shared the information of the Hub and spokes model for Cybersecurity, CyberPeace Cluster at Jharkhand, and another cluster which can come up at Gujarat, CyberPeace Hub at East-North Eastern States and Multi stakeholder approach. He emphasized on Integration of Cybersecurity into the course curriculum. Talking about India UK Partnership he highlighted the major points in that collaboration which includes, Cybersecurity Information Sharing among both countries, Joint Cybersecurity Research and Development, Capacity Building and Workforce Development which involves training programs, workshops, and exchange programs for cybersecurity professionals, Policy and Regulatory Exchange, Joint Exercises and Simulations, Support for Cyber Startups and Innovation to Encouraging and supporting startups in the cybersecurity domain is another key aspect. This includes funding opportunities, incubation programs, and providing a platform for UK and Indian cybersecurity startups to collaborate and grow. Other two aspects being Global Cybersecurity Advocacy and Combating Cybercrime will help to make a safe cyberspace internationally.
The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, continues until January 12, 2024, with a dedicated focus on ‘TECHADE and Disruptive Technologies.’ This influential event will explore the champion services sectors like financial services, healthcare, education, environment, tourism, and hospitality, serving as a dynamic platform.
