Danfoss India reiterates its commitment to Energy Efficiency
  • Danfoss sees huge potential for its solutions in accelerating the decarbonization agenda for its customers in the state as Telangana is witnessing rapid industrialization, infrastructure development, with emergence of IT, Pharma, marine food and EV ecosystem hubs.
  • Newly introduced Danfoss product range- iC7 Vfd series (variable frequency drive) comprises diverse range of controllers, sensors, and actuators products with applications across various industries, including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning), refrigeration, and industrial automation. Also displayed NXP System Drive and D Frame which offers remarkable gains in energy efficiency and substantial reduction in maintenance costs.

Danfoss India, a global leader in energy efficiency and climate solutions, unveils iC7 Energy Smart Automation Range of VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) at the Energy Efficiency Summit, Hyderabad. Dr. Jairam Varadaraj, Managing Director, ELGi Equipments Ltd. unveiled the New Product Range in presence of Ravichandran Purushothaman, President- Danfoss India Region, Mandar Vaijanapurkar, Head- Drives Sales & Service, Danfoss India Region, CII dignitaries, and industry experts. 

Speaking on the occasion, Ravichandran Purushothaman, President- Danfoss India Region said, “The introduction of our new product offerings reflects our constant pursuit of innovative technologies for energy efficiency across industries. Applying the “Energy Efficiency First” principle, every opportunity to reduce energy consumption will help the industries curtail emissions and thereby pave the way for a more environmentally conscious and economically sound future.” 

Variable frequency drives are used in sectors such as heavy industries, paper, textiles, pharma, water and wastewater, transportation, and infrastructure amongst others, contributing to the growth of overall market. Danfoss sees huge potential for its solutions in accelerating the decarbonization agenda for its customers in the state as Telangana is witnessing rapid industrialization, infrastructure development, with emergence of IT, Pharma, marine, food supply and EV ecosystem hubs. 

The iC7 technology platform got launched at the backdrop of this development on the sidelines of Energy Efficiency Summit 2023. The summit showcased how Danfoss solutions can be the driving force of a growth-driven economy which addresses sustainability and technological gaps in urbanization, food security, electrification, digitalization, and climate change.

Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives segment is a market leader actively contributing to the leading Indian industries for enabling energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting renewable energy integration. This segment of Danfoss growing at 28% CAGR in the last 3 years since 2020 has also outpaced the industry growth, which is at 23% CAGR. 

Mandar Vaijanapurkar, National Head- Power Electronics and Drives, Danfoss India Region said, “Large manufacturing units are looking to reduce energy costs and improve the efficiency of machines. iC7 Energy Smart Automation Range offers our customers a huge scope to make informed choices, secure information and optimize the performance to overcome grappling challenges like high energy demand and lower OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency). Ravichandran Purushothaman, who is also the Chairperson of CII Energy Efficiency Council, during his master talk at the summit, shared his insights on the latest cutting edge technologies available for energy transition of the Indian industrial sector. Sector integration, Energy Storage, Electrification, Energy Efficiency, Renewables and alternate sources were discussed. He also emphasized Danfoss India’s 25 years journey of engineering a sustainable tomorrow for its customers, and the commitment to help India’s green transition. He concluded his address with high hopes on collaboration between industry, academia and government, need for cross learning, and supporting each other towards decarbonization, showcase of best practices and more, essential to meet our nation’s NetZero commitments.
