DBS Bank India Launches ‘Travel Now’, a Travel Marketplace on Digibank App

Travel Now’ is a one-stop travel marketplace within the digibank app introduced by DBS Bank India. The bank said in a statement that the new feature will help customers to browse and book flights, bus tickets, and hotels across hundreds of destinations within and outside of India.

Customers can also opt for travel insurance, offered by Bharti AXA General Insurance which will help in the automated claim process for flight cancellation and flight departure and arrival delays over 60 minutes. To provide a customized and user-friendly product, Digibank’s intuitive UX has been designed. Using a seamless and secure one-click payment process customers can make their payments using their digibank account. This will helps to avoid the need to enter or save card details and wait for an OTP. As per the customer requirements, they can make use of a range of targeted offers, the DBS Bank India said in a statement.

Karthik Jain, Executive Director of Digital bank, DBS Bank India said that being aware of the difficulties faced by the customers who look on multiple sites for travel arrangements, the introduced the new feature of one-stop-shop in digibank to solve all the problems related to travel and help with their booking process. The Travel Now feature provides a different booking experience including bespoke flight cover with automated claims solution and user-friendly one-click payment from the DBS account of customer. This feature conveys their intention of delivering innovation and seamless solutions to customer requirements. 

In association with Bharti AXA General Insurance Company Ltd, the bank offers insurance for flight and bus bookings. DBS Bank said that they have been designed to address the customer problems and their key solutions. They also want to solve the key challenges in their travel journey. The insurer auto-detects flight delays and flight cancellations and notifies the customers while enabling an automatic claims process. The claim journey is a simple, two-click process, and the amount is directly credited to the customers’ account. For bus bookings, customers can avail of an accidental death cover of up to Rs 5 lakh, and emergency medical expenses cover up to Rs 1 lakh for Rs 20 (inclusive of taxes).
