Dell achieves the status of the most trusted brand of India: TRA Report

India’s number one trusted brand second year in a row in TRA’s Brand Trust Report (BTR) 2020, the 10th edition in its series was achieved by Dell which is in the top slot. The second place was MiMobiles, which also leads to Mobile Phone Category the same year for the first time. The third place was achieved by Samsung Mobile. The fourth and fifth place was achieved by Apple iPhone and LG Television respectively this year. The 6th spot was taken by Oppo. The seventh-place was attained by Sony Entertainment Television, the Hindi GEC got seventh place. All of these features among the top 10 for the first time in 10 years.

In the field of Consumer Insights and Brand Analytics, TRA Research has completed its 10th year and couningt India’s top brands as clients. Comprehensive primary research conducted on TRA’s proprietary 10-brand behaviors which make up the Brand Trust Matrix that resulted in TRA’s Brand Trust Report 2020. There was 1711 consumer-influencer across 16 cities as respondent and over 8000 unique brands were analyzed in this year study from which the top 1000 brands have been listed in this year’s report. The report listed FMCG and F&B and 41super-categories and 323 categories. F&B and FMCG are the categories that have the largest number of brands, contributing to 29.5% of the total brands. There is a grand slam with leadership by washing machines (All India rank 26), LG in Televisions (All India rank 5), and Refrigerators (All India rank 14).

Some other TRA’s Brand Trust Report 2020 category leaders are Airtel from Mobile Service Providers (All India rank 20) and Patanjali (All India rank 15) DantKanti from Toothpaste category which has broken the nine-year winning streak of Colgate. Euro Kids (All India Ranked 52) in Pre-school, Tanishq (All India rank 48) in Jewellery, American Express (All-India Rank 59) in Credit Cards, Muthoot Finance(All-India Rank 60) in Financial Services, Jeep (All-India Rank 64) in SUV Manufacturer, Zee5 (All-India Rank 108) leads in OTT, Livpure (All-India Rank 141) in Water Purifiers, and Okaya(All-India Rank 140) in Inverter Batteries. The CEO of TRA N. Chandramouli commented that COVID has been distress for the brands, even the consumers have been in a state of anxiety. The impact of the virus has made many brands miserable.
