– Demand for construction services on Justdial rose 26% (YOY) in May’22 with maximum traction coming from the three cities of Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru
– Maximum demand for borewell contractors from Chennai, Hyderabad, & Bengaluru
Mumbai, June 8: Demand for home painting services shot up by 29% across India and was the most sought-after construction services followed by civil and borewell contractors, reports the latest Justdial Consumer Report.
Besides painting, civil and borewell contractors, there was also a rise in demand for furniture and ceiling contractors, making up the top-5 most search construction services on Justdial, India’s No.1 local search engine.
Demand for construction services on Justdial rose 26% (YOY) in May’22 with maximum traction coming from the three cities of Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru. Tier-I cities witnessed a demand rise of 17% and Tier-II 41%.
Commenting on the trend, Mr. Prasun Kumar, CMO, Justdial, said: “We have aggregated a wide variety of on-demand building and construction services on our platform. With this, we have aggregated online a large section of the home construction service providers in the neighbourhood who for long were just dependent on word-of-mouth marketing. This seamless experience has boosted the number of searches happening on Justdial, which has become the go-to platform for any on-demand service.”
For home painting services, Mumbai topped the demand followed by Delhi and Bengaluru in the second and the third place respectively among Tier-I cities. The top-5 Tier-II cities that saw maximum searches for home painting services were Coimbatore, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Visakhapatnam, and Lucknow.
Mumbai and Hyderabad topped the demand for civil contractors among Tier-I cities with Delhi in the third place. But the number of searches in Mumbai was almost 2X of Hyderabad. Coimbatore, Lucknow, Nagpur, Indore, Pune, and Patna were the top-5 Tier-II cities that saw maximum demand for civil contractors.
Demand for borewell contractors was high among the three major southern cities of Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. Among Tier-II towns and cities, Ranchi saw maximum demand followed by Nagpur, Bhopal, Coimbatore, and Indore.
For furniture contractors, Delhi generated maximum demand followed by Mumbai and Bengaluru in the second and third place, respectively. Among Tier-II cities, Coimbatore and Chandigarh contributed to 90% of the demand.
Delhi also led the demand for ceiling contractors among Tier-I cities followed by Chennai and Hyderabad. Among Tier-II cities, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Coimbatore, and Patna were the top-5 with maximum searches for ceiling contractors.
