Diesel has introduced a first-of-its-kind range of timepieces with the launch of the Vert Collection, crafted using a new wave of VR technology that merges the physical and digital worlds.

It’s one of several styles from the new forward-thinking Metamorph collection, which has been entirely conceptualized and created from a technologically immersive virtual reality experience by Diesel Creative Director Glenn Martens. The cutting edge approach to its design under Martens’ direction led to a disruptive, uniquely hard-shelled aesthetic that is simultaneously organic and futuristic. 

“The Vert Collection is a testament to Diesel’s commitment to innovation at the most fundamental level. Our timepieces are an expression of individuality, and the creative process behind the Vert Collection aims to let wearers make a unique statement about their personal style. A first-of-its-kind VR technology was employed to create an immersive aesthetic inspired by Diesel Creative Director, Glenn Martens, for this collection, giving it a futuristic look that still seamlessly complements the ensemble of the modern man,” said Johnson Verghese, Managing Director, Fossil Group – India.

With a case size of 44 mm, the collection is available in three color options – black, gold and silver, and comes with a stainless steel strap bracelet and three-hand date movement. Customers can also choose the limited edition exclusive DZ2183, which features contrasting leather black inlay accents to the dynamic core design, and has only 700 units available worldwide.

Alongside the collection launch, Diesel invites both Vert holders and fans across the world to experience an immersive, multi-layered, game-like experience with their new project — Metamorph. Developed in partnership with the visionary media-tech artists from Artificial Rome, the project strengthens Diesel’s position as a Web3 pioneer, and showcases its commitment to connect creativity with culture. The Metamorph virtual world is created with the Vert design details at its heart, featuring breathtaking scenery and a sprawling environment for visitors to move through with their A:VERT:AR (avatar) and undertake a challenging quest to rescue a fictional land where time has stopped. The experience culminates in a virtual concert celebration with artist Lil Dre at the completion of the quests.

The Vert Collection is now available at Diesel boutiques and select online and offline retailers.
