Both DTC and DIMTS bus services are integrated onto the Network, enhancing the journey experience for commuters
Sep 2, 2024, New Delhi: The Delhi Transport Corporation’s (DTC) city bus digital QR ticketing system is now live on the ONDC Network, making it the first public bus transportation service to onboard the Open Network. This is a significant integration as India’s most popular means of transit — public buses — will become more accessible and convenient for commuters’ daily travels.
As part of this, both DTC and Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS) bus services are now integrated into the ONDC Network. This integration will enhance passengers’ overall commuting experience in Delhi. The digital QR ticketing system simplifies the ticketing process, allowing passengers to purchase bus tickets easily using their preferred customer-facing applications.
Delhi commuters can now simply purchase city bus QR tickets effortlessly through the One Delhi App on the ONDC Network. Soon, users of the One Delhi app will also be able to book on-demand ride-hailing services, such as autos and cabs, through the ONDC Network for a better choice and end-to-end travel experience.
Additionally, existing apps offering DTC ticket booking like Chartr, Tummoc and WhatsApp will also soon be integrated to the ONDC Network. Other upcoming buyer applications set to join include EaseMyTrip, Paytm, and redBus, further expanding the accessibility and convenience of public transportation ticketing in the capital city.
The integration of DTC into the ONDC Network only goes on to further bolster the Mobility offerings by enabling on-demand ride-hailing services across 12 cities* and Metro Rail ticketing services in 2 cities — Chennai & Kochi. The ultimate vision is to deliver a multimodal experience where customers can easily plan their journeys, whether it’s a bus, metro, auto or cab via any customer-facing buyer app on the ONDC Network.
