Dr Murray Tod appointed as the Founding Master of Wellington College International Pune

September 27, 2022: Experienced UK educationist Dr Murray Tod, who has made significant contributions to K-12 education in the UK and Asia, will be the Founding Master of Wellington College’s India chapter. The college is anticipated to be India’s premier K-12 institution, harnessing the best education practices of east and west.

In this new role, Dr Tod seeks to introduce his vision of making a distinctive impact to Indian education through Wellington College’s collaboration with the country’s premier institution, Unison Group. Dr Tod has nearly three decades of experience in the field of education, through early association with the universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, followed by significant boarding posts in UK schools (Glenalmond College, Rannoch School and Epsom College) and new international institutions (Epsom College in Malaysia and Merchiston International School (Shenzhen, China), the sister school of the distinguished Edinburgh institution).

Expressing his delight on his new role, Dr Tod said, “This is the most exciting time for an educationist to be in India. There are so many avenues that can be explored to enhance the experience of education in this country. In my own small way, I hope to contribute to the rich traditions of Indian education through this unique collaboration and we view this partnership between Wellington College and the Unison Group as a definitive step in Indian education.
