Pune based two-wheeler firm, DSK Motowheels is all set to launch three new super bikes from the stable of Benelli, its Italy based partner. These new super bikes are all set to be launched by the end of this year in the price bracket between Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 14 lakh.
DSK inked n agreement with Benelli in October 2014 in order to bring the Italian super bikes intoIndia. The firm had earlier announced that it will sell five super bikes mmade by itsItalybased partner in the country from March 19.
Regarding this, Shirish Kulkarni, DSK Motowheels Chairman told that they firm is all set to launch three more models of super bikes from Benelli by the end of this year. He also revealed that these upcoming models will be priced in the range between Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 14 lakh. The upcoming models that will make their way intoIndiaare TNT 25, Blackster 250 and Trek Amazonas. Of these, the first two will be 250 cc super bikes while the Trek Amazonas is a tourer with 1,130 cc capacity. He confirmed that their existing models include two 250 cc bikes and a 200 cc bike in the Hyosung portfolio. It is believed that the existing 250 cc bikes will help in receiving enough sale volume as this segment is growing rapidly.
The executive further added that the 1,130 cc tourer bike, Trek Amazonas will be suitable for long rides. He also claimed that the firm is expecting that the upcoming models of super bikes will help in achieving 1,000 units of sale each.
Before partnering with Benelli, DSK Motowheels partnered with Hyosung based inSouth Korea. There are super bike six models from Hyosung inIndiaand they range from 250 cc to 700 cc. These are available via 41 dealership outlets acrossIndia. The Indian super bike market segment is predicted to witness a sale of 15,000 units yearly from the existing 10,000.
