February 13th, 2024, Mumbai: Eleganz Interiors, India’s leading interior design & build fitout company, marked its 35th anniversary in the industry with a spectacular event recently at MCA Bandra Club, BKC. The celebration, attended by distinguished guests, industry leaders, and prominent personalities, was an evening of glamour, inspiration, and reflection on Eleganz Interiors’ remarkable journey.
Esteemed guests, including former HDFC Chairman Mr. Deepak Parekh and renowned architect Mr. Hafeez Contractor, graced the occasion, sharing valuable insights into the interior design and build fit-out industry while expressing their enduring relationship with Eleganz. Motivational speaker Mr. Gaur Gopal Das added his unique touch to the occasion with his inspiring words on sustainability and leadership.
The event commenced with a heartfelt welcome, setting the stage for an unforgettable night. Guests were treated to an opening video that encapsulated the inspiring 35-year journey of Eleganz Interiors, highlighting its transformation into a formidable presence in the interior fit-out industry. Mr. Sammeer Pakvasa, the Managing Director and CEO of Eleganz Interiors, took the stage and delivered a speech, sharing insights into the company’s strategic vision and achievements over the last 23 years. The mic was then passed to the visionary founder, Mr. Akshay Pakvasa, who shared profound insights into laying the foundation for Eleganz in 1988.
The celebration continued with a heartwarming tribute video showcasing the impact of Eleganz Interiors on its dedicated workforce. A CSR presentation highlighted the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. The highlight of the evening was a mesmerising sand art performance by Rahul Arya, a celebrated artist known for transforming simple grains of sand into compelling stories. The live painting art performance left the audience in awe.

Architect Hafeez Contractor reminisced, “I first met Akshay at a work event. Upon our first interaction, I found him to be a very strict and somewhat difficult individual, especially fresh from his return from Dubai. However, as I began collaborating with him, I was thoroughly impressed by his workmanship and his adept handling of projects. This led to an increasing amount of contracting being entrusted to him, a trend that continues to this day, with his son, Sammeer. So, today, standing here on their 35th anniversary, I feel an immense sense of pride witnessing how far they have progressed. I wish them continued growth and an even greater reputation in the years ahead.”
The festivities concluded with an invitation to guests to enjoy an exquisite selection of drinks and dinner, carefully curated to harmonise with the refined aesthetics of Eleganz Interiors’ designs. The Networking Zone provided a space for engaging conversations and connections.
