Enabling Leadership rebrands as it prepares to serve a million children from underserved communities by 2030

3 March 2023, Mumbai: Enabling Leadership (EL), a non-profit organization that aims to instill leadership skills in young children studying in Government and low-income schools across India and S.E Asia, has launched its new brand identity as it sets its sights on expanding the reach of its programs to 1 million underserved children through multidisciplinary after-school programs by 2030.

The organization currently serves more than 9,000 children in India and Cambodia, using unique programs centred around football, music, and Lego building blocks.

EL partnered with Landor & Fitch, India’s largest brand transformation company, on the rebranding exercise.

Enabling Leadership’s Founder & CEO, Ravi Sonnad, said, “We’re thrilled to unveil our new brand identity, which reflects our mission of providing leadership training to children from underserved communities using creative and fun programs using music, football, and Lego. With the new identity, we’re well-positioned to achieve our goal of serving a million children and providing them with the necessary skills to succeed in life.”

“The team was tremendously excited to design for EL’s cause and you can see that enthusiasm come through in the expression of the identity. Our intent was to bring a strong platform to life, as an enabler for children to grow with leadership values, with the right mix of play in the forms. The colours symbolise the optimism, play and passion at EL’s core. We hope the variable nature of the identity will keep all  stakeholders engaged and make EL’s ambition and philosophy known clearly.” said Arnab Ray, Creative Director at Landor & Fitch, India.

Developing the new identity began with creating a brand architecture to help EL expand its programming goals and ensure the identity remained unrestricted to a cultural boundary in line with EL’s plans to grow to new countries. The three sub-programmes that EL runs have been rechristened as EL Play, EL Create, and EL Build to act as a springboard to display different activities within the master programme.

The Landor & Fitch India team worked closely with Enabling Leadership’s stakeholders to identify the critical elements of its brand, including the mission, values, and goals. The process helped to create a clear and consistent message for EL that would resonate with its growing audience.

The new brand identity is set to roll out across all of EL’s communication channels, including its website, social media, and promotional materials. Enabling Leadership is poised to impact the education sector in India significantly, and this rebrand is an important milestone in its journey to empower children and transform communities.
