EPIC ON, an IN10 Media Network premium OTT platform, has partnered with PhonePe, India’s leading digital payment platform, to sell its subscription to PhonePe’s more than 250 million users at a 25 percent discounted price. Users of PhonePe will now get a six-month subscription to the rich mix of multiform content for only INR 299 across genres and formats and an annual subscription for INR 499 from EPIC ON.
With a pandemic hitting the nation, the digital wave that had just begun to blast was fueled, leading to a sudden unprecedented increase in demand for digital and OTT content. The implementation of modern digital technology at a lower cost has already made new inroads for the digital entertainment industry in India. India’s digital streaming industry has eclipsed India’s film industry in scale in the past two years, and between 2016 and 2019, the OTT industry expanded by a whopping 240%.
Sourjya Mohanty, Chief Operating Officer – EPIC ON, shared his views on the PhonePe partnership, saying, “Having seen the exponential increase in demand for digital entertainment content and digital payment solutions across India, we are delighted to partner with PhonePe to leverage their subscription payment features.” This will encourage our users to use their choice of easy payments while offering a 25 percent discount when subscribing from the PhonePe platform to enjoy our premium content.

All that PhonePe users need to do to purchase a subscription is to log in to the PhonePe app and go to the section on Recharge & Pay Bills. Then they only need to go to the Subscriptions tab and pick EPIC ON and use UPI/Debit or Credit Card/PhonePe Wallet to pay for their subscription.
