This Independence Day, Esports Collective (ESC) has launched the beta version of its esports fan-engagement platform FanSpace, with an aim to revolutionize India’s competitive gaming ecosystem. The main application is going to come out on 18th September 2022.

FanSpace benefits the grassroots and the larger community of gamers by solving the access and information flow problems. It is a data-driven approach that will aim to serve the needs of esports enthusiasts, allowing them access to all the statistical data like match reports and the results of all the competitive games taking place in the country at any given time.

The Indian video gaming and esports ecosystems currently lack such a data-driven fan-engagement platform. Noticing this business edge, Esports (ESC) has worked to capitalize on the opportunity to drive community engagement by providing fans with all the statistical information they need about any match currently taking place with just a click of a button.

The industry has estimated the number of esports players to have doubled from 300,000 from 2020 through 2021. Esports teams have also grown by over 50%, from 60,000 to over 100,000 during the same period.

The total prizemoney according to the recent E&Y report in 2021 surpassed INR 200 million. There is also a meteoric rise in viewership, from 600,000 hours to 2 million hours from 2020 through 2021.

The FanSpace app is a one-stop solution that will streamline data for all tournaments, big and small, that are being played in India, along with performances and various other statistics.

  • Tournament Coverage – Data and analytics-enabled industry-first live experience.
  • In-Depth Stats – A four-level analytical representation i.e., tournament, team, match, and player.
  • Content Creation – The realities between gaming and lifestyle merged through written and video content.
  • Breaking News – Bringing the world of gaming to your fingertips in a fast and concise way.

While several social media outlets provide news related to the video game and esports scene, none have provided fans with a central dashboard carrying quality data for competitive tournaments. Thus, FanSpace is an initiative that will help solve these issues in fan engagement.
