The Facebook India Tech Scholars (FITS) program – an initiative from Facebook India, Designed for Law students for India. Knowledge partner will be chosen as Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. This program was launched to assist students from law school to research on law or policies and get updated with the technologies. Firstly eight law students will be provided the opportunity to research on laws and extend their support to other students in the meantime.

Facebook wants to encourage individual capability to work on case studies, confined with various technologies based on law. Their point of view will get outlined and they will get a chance to stand out. More Practical exposure of Academics to explore their skills.

Law is a wide versatile concept, some decision needs to be taken through intuitive approach better understanding of different scenarios build up intellectual and Emotional Quotients of students. 

FITS program 2021-2022 will assist by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace India, the Software Freedom Law Center participating as Mentoring Institutions, the Centre for Internet and Society, the Observer Research Foundation. Expert Advisory Committee would also join to decide the duration and events of the program.

The plan is to expand the Facebook India Tech Scholars (FITS) program by including a big number of students in the coming year. Students will be selected from the National Law School of India University Bengaluru, Delhi and the National Law University, Jodhpur, the National Law University, the WB National University of Juridical Sciences mainly from the 4th and 5th semester.

The duration of the Facebook India Tech Scholars (FITS)  program 2021-2022 is Nine months and commencing from summer. The last date of closing application calls will be June 20, 2021.
