Facebook join hands with Cannes LIONS to celebrate Advertising creativity

Cannes LIONS is an annual global summit that celebrates marketing and advertising creativity each year. Due to COVID-19, this will be an online event, with live streaming of sessions over the next week.

The American multinational technology conglomerate, Facebook recently announced their partnership with Cannes LIONS for a list of new ideas giving awareness into how brands are taking advantage of the platform’s processes and ad tools. The session will also be a stage for discussions on the significance of innovations and creativity.

Key Points described by Facebook,

·      Why Creativity is Important: Join Alvin Bowles, VP of Business Engineering and Partner Solutions, in talks with Kirk McDonald, CEO of GroupM North America, to catch how Facebook and its clients are innovating in the creative space.

·      The Big Step: Mark D’Arcy, VP of Global Business Marketing and Chief Creative Officer, shares his idea on three key switches accelerated over the past year that are enabling people and that will restructure the future of marketing and business.

·      The Future of the Creator Economy: The Head of Facebook app, Join Fidji Simo and Sara Fische, Axios Media Reporter, for a conversation about how firms and creators are taking big steps into new income streams, reaching new audiences with tools that move creative boundaries, and the steps Facebook takes to become the main spot for established and emerging creators. Then to hear primarily from one of the industry’s top creators such – actress, writer and comedienne, Daphnique Springs.

Facebook is also funding “The Good Track” series which focuses to celebrate creators, brands and business for their efforts.

As stated by Facebook, it will also be giving awards in two categories: ‘Sustainable Development Goals Lions’ and the ‘Glass: The Lion for Change’.

“Glass is a dedicated Lion embracing culture-changing innovation, and a place to praise ideas aimed to change the world that eradicates gender inequality or prejudice. The Sustainable Development Goals Lions celebrate creative methods for solving problems, answers or initiatives that cultivate creativity and to positively change the world.” 

The tech conglomerate is also giving 500 members from the ‘Rise Program’ as an attempt to help agency workers affected by COVID 19 with complimentary Cannes LIONS Live online access tickets.
