FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd (NYKAA) announced that Falguni Nayar, Founder and CEO of Nykaa was honored for her corporate and philanthropic leadership at the American India Foundation’s (AIF) Annual Gala held by the New York Chapter at Cipriani Wall Street.
Falguni Nayar received the prestigious recognition alongside Michael Miebach, CEO of
Mastercard as paragons of inspirational, passionate leaders who have left an indelible mark in
their respective fields and driven transformative impact in the communities they serve.
Previous recipients of this honor include N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, Brian
Moynihan, Chair of the Board and CEO of Bank of America and Arvind Krishna, CEO of IBM. The
event was attended by over 700 people including distinguished leaders like Victor Menzes, ex
Chairman CEO of Citibank, Harit Talwar, co-chair AIF global board, Nishant Pandey, CEO of AIF,
and was hosted by Zarna Garg, Indian-American comedian and screenwriter.
This honor recognizes Falguni’s visionary leadership and remarkable foresight which have
propelled Nykaa to unprecedented success and established it as symbolic to beauty in India.
What began as a dream has blossomed into a revolution, redefining the beauty industry and
empowering millions of women across the country. Along with the felicitation, Falguni also
announced a 3-year association between AIF and Nykaa to promote and encourage STEM
education for girls in India.
Since inception, Nykaa has consistently championed self-expression and developed programs
that provide holistic education, upskilling, and livelihood opportunities. Demonstrating its
dedication to advancing the field of technology, Nykaa partnered with the Indian Institute of
Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) to establish a “Chair in Consumer Technology.” This multi-year initiative is designed to foster research and education in the field and equip students with essential knowledge to create impactful technology-led business models.
In addition to this, Nykaa collaborates closely with social impact organizations to implement
co-designed programs focused on empowering urban and rural women and bringing them into
mainstream employment. To help underprivileged talent excel in sports, Nykaa supports
training programs for young children and women. A testimony to their belief in self-
expression, programs offering alternative education methods for children aged 7 – 16 are
being implemented to nurture them into well-rounded students and support their well-being.

has impacted over 46,385 schools across 35 states and union territories covering 8.14 million
students through 240,302 teachers. The curriculum emphasizes integrating technology and
promoting STEM education.
