Viacom18 Sports, India’s latest prestigious sports network, announced that JioCinema will live-stream all matches and provide compiled content related to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM. From the 20th of November to the 18th of December, all JioCinema viewers will be able to watch the global marquee competition for free. Sports18 – 1 SD & HD will be broadcast on TV.
The JioCinema app, which will provide access to Viacom18 Sports’ portfolio of live and non-live programming, including the quadrennial showpiece, will be available for download soon for all telecom service subscribers and across devices including iOS and Android.
Because of the multiplication of data consumption, smartphones and connected TVs have become the preferred mode of content consumption in India. Viacom18 Sports’ 64-match showcase will include live streaming in 4K, a first for FIFA World CupTM presentation in India, as well as multiple languages, feeds in English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali on JioCinema without any subscription fees.

The majority of the FIFA World CupTM 2022 matches will be played in primetime in India (18:30, 20:30, 21:30 IST). Key group stage clashes will include France vs. Denmark, England vs. Iran, Portugal vs. Ghana, Brazil vs. Switzerland, and Croatia vs. Belgium.
To supplement the live coverage, Viacom18 Sports’ tournament presentation includes compelling non-live programming. The network will create digital-first content centered on World Cup heroes who have etched their names in history books, moments that have become lifelong memories, and the most ardent fans of the sport and their World Cup stories. The network’s live coverage will include a lineup of well-known international football experts, hosts, and tournament legends to be announced later.
