First Time modern trade shoppers and Low income value explorers to add $3 billon to FMCG sales by 2015: AC Nielsen

Dec 8, 2012: According to a latest survey report brought out by AC Nielsen, there are nearly one crore households who live in Urban India and earn less than Rs.6000 per month but there is a drastic change in the shopping habits of the shoppers in India. An analysis by Nielsen reveals that nearly half of the surveyed households have moved to branded products and that First Time modern trade shoppers and Low income value explorers will add to $3 billion to FMCG sales by 2015. Nielsen expects the First Time modern trade shoppers market to increase FMCG sales by 15% and Low income value explorers to increase it by 50%.
