Flying to foreign destinations this holiday season gets dearer

Nov 28, 2012: If you are thinking of flying to foreign destinations this holiday season, you may have to think again as the price of tickets have got dearer. Flying abroad has become more costly because of the increase in fuel surcharge. Air India has already announced hike in fares from today and other operators are all set to follow the act. This hike comes at a time when the demand on international routes is on the high and almost all the flights are flying on full capacity. The hike in fuel surcharge by Air India is to the tune of $20 for a one way ticket and $40 for a return ticket.
