Focusing on Indian audience, Netflix India release new ad video

Netflix releases a new advertisement video to catch its Indian viewer’s attention.  

One of the world’s leading streaming platforms, Netflix has a wide range of TV shows, movies, and documentaries available in 30 languages and 190 countries.

While Indians have wholeheartedly welcomed this new age entertainment service, there was only a little indigenous content offering the Indian audience.   

The new ad shows that there’s something to watch for any type of viewer, the video contains an arranged marriage setup where the prospective bride is asked a few questions by the boy’s family.

Obviously, it looks like a traditional setting that can be seen in any other Indian households however, Netflix tweaks it up a bit reflecting on the change in today’s generation, moreover making samosas and the ability to create perfectly round rotis, Netflix viewing habits become the new deciding factor.  

The to be bride is asked what she watches on the app, to which she replies naming a few family-oriented movies like Hum Saath Saath Hai, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, We Are Family, and mentions that she has seen K3G thrice which satisfies and excites the family but the to be groom seems a little hesitant and disinterested.   

It is then seen, her whispering to him that she also watches Stranger Things, Money Heist, and Narcos to which his eyes light up, he asks her the one question which seems the decider, “And Squid Game?”. The video ends with an “Of course” from her that pleases the groom.   

Humorously Netflix shares the concept “Sabki pasand wala Netflix, Apni pasand wala Netflix!”, pointing out their aim – ‘There’s Netflix for all’.  

The advertisement serves two purposes; one is that they are offering more Indian content for its viewers as this American subscription streaming service and production company earlier had only a little content to offer Indian viewers while they had a stellar English lineup of movies, TV shows, and even Netflix originals.  

And second, promoting their latest news for the new year, the subscription price drops where the viewers can stream their favorite shows and films on all devices – Mobile, tab, computer, and TV just for ₹199 per month.

Along with this basic plan, the standard and premium plan has a price drop too, Netflix released this brand-new plan under the campaign, Happy New Prices
