SuperGaming, one of India’s largest gaming firms, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Vandana Sharma as Vice President of People.
Vandana’s responsibilities include overseeing the People function and serving as a liaison between the SuperGaming management team and various departments.
Vandana joins SuperGaming with over 24 years of diverse experience. Vandana was previously the Head of Human Resources for Myntra’s Supply Chain Organization from its inception till its acquisition by Flipkart. She also oversaw Myntra’s organizational culture initiatives.
She also served as the Chief People Officer at HolidayIQ before launching StartupPeopleConsulting in August 2017. Many value chain projects and people initiatives across organizations such as Wipro Ltd, TMT, and GMR group have benefited from her services.
Vandana served in the Indian Army as a Major for ten years, from 1996 to 2006, before embarking on her highly successful corporate career. Her participation in the Kargil War in 1999 has been documented and praised in the Army Ordnance Corps’ Military History.
Vandana is also a TEDx speaker, as well as a life and career counselor.
She was named the Linkedin Top Voice for India in 2019 and was named a BERG Asia Pacific Women Icon in 2017.
Vandana is a fantastic fit for our SuperGaming team. She has a unique combination of people management expertise, great leadership abilities, and a will to succeed. During our conversations, her decisiveness and willingness to lead shone through, skills she honed during her time in the army.
Vandana will be the driving force behind our efforts to attract the best gaming talent in India and establish India as a worldwide gaming destination.” SuperGaming’s founder, Roby John, said as much.
“I’ve always pushed for writing an epitaph rather than a CV. At SuperGaming, we’re creating the coolest workplace for our Supers to keep performing their best work while surrounded by a positive work environment. I’m ecstatic to be a Super, so bring it on! “Vandana Sharma stated
Vandana’s entrance caps a remarkable 2021 for SuperGaming, which saw the firm raise USD 5.5 million in funding, surpass a milestone of 50 million players for its game MaskGun, and introduce the hugely popular Squid Royale mode in its flagship social game, Silly Royale.
