In his new role as Deputy Chief Strategy Officer, Ganapathy Balagopalan will partner with some important clients of Ogilvy India.
Ogilvy India has recently informed the promotion of Ganapathy Balagopalan to Deputy Chief Strategy Officer, Ogilvy India. Prem Narayan, Chief Strategy Officer of Ogilvy India said that ‘Ask Ganapathy’ is a catchphrase in Ogilvy, and if there is anything that someone needs to know about Cadbury or Mondelez.
He also said that guns have been the account planning custodian for some of Ogilvy India’s dearest brands, Cadbury or Mondelez, Pidilite, Bajaj, and ITC. There has been a Ganapathy Balagopalan touch to many great campaigns on these brands over the years.
Ganapathy Balagopalan will operate two key agendas at a national level. He will be the national Effectiveness Leader, and he will be in help teams across markets on this front.
He will also champion the digital plan aspect of brands in Ogilvy India and partner with account management and creative leaders to drive the digital excellence agenda.

While Ganapathy Balagopalan takes on a national role, he will continue to be the planning head for Mumbai & Kolkata, something he has cultivated and built over the last five years.
Ganapathy Balagopalan has been with Ogilvy for over twenty years and has been an integral part of nurturing and building the Ogilvy planning function. He has been a wonderful planning leader for Mumbai and has built an outstanding team that is the largest in the country. He is considered a true-blue Ogilvy person in values and spirit.
