To highlight the need to empower housewives, Gemini Oil today launched a new consumer insight-based campaign
#AajKyaBannaChahtiHo. Gemini consumers are moving from traditionalists who spend their time cooking warm, healthy and nutritious meals for their families to those who continue to prioritize the health and well-being of their families and are passionate about pursuing their dreams, evolved into progressive women. This campaign aims to highlight the importance of having the time and support necessary for housewives to pursue their aspirations.
This year also marks her 40th anniversary for the Gemini brand. With the launch of the new campaign, the brand will also change its iconic packaging, design and logo across its portfolio of Everyday Oils, Flavored Oils and Smart Health (Wellness Oils). The packaging design and logo have been revamped as a tribute to the brand’s evolving consumer values. It’s a balance between the time you spend ensuring your family’s health through good food and the time you spend caring for your hobbies and passions.
Piyush Patnaik, Cargill’s Managing Director of Indian Oil Operations, said at the launch of the new campaign: The Gemini campaign is a true testament to the brand’s desire to stay connected with its ever-evolving consumer. We will continue to build on this strong trust that consumers place in us to provide the best solutions for the next generation. And we’re excited to become a consumer brand that continues to put itself first. And choices have evolved over the years, with redesigned packaging, logos, and new commercials in development. “Aaj Kya Bana Hai” is a question that has been asked by almost every woman in every profession. Times have changed, but the question remains the same. Gemini’s new campaign aims to support evolving housewives by changing the question from ‘Aaj Kya Bana Hai’ to ‘Aaj Kya Banna Chahti Ho’. This may be the first step in acknowledging her evolving stay-at-home psyche and allowing her to free up her time for her own passions and aspirations.
A new package of Gemini oil will be available to consumers in stores in Maharashtra and Goa from August 25, 2022.
