General Motors Detroit-based automobile has unveiled its new logo. The new logo features a sky blue color. The previous logo was vibrating blue tone now turned into sky blue to evoke the image of clear skies, in line with its zero-emissions promise. The new corporate logo exhibits its refreshed brand identity that stands with its proposition to deliver “zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion.”
The company stated that its refreshed logo not for only developing General Motors (GMs) legacy also imprint a contemporary feel.
Comparing to the previous logo and refreshed logo it is acknowledged that the color of the brand changed, the edges have been smoothed out, the font of the letters turned into low case letters that have brought up a modern feel and vibrant look. In the previous logo, there is an underscore for both letters GM it ended up with only “m” which is likely to seem like a three-pronged power plug that is about to be plugged in.
The carmakers General Motors had recently launched their new campaign “Everybody In” to accelerate their Electric vehicles (EV) adoption. GM pledged to invest $27 billion in electric vehicles through 2021 and launch globally 30 new electric vehicles by the end of 2025.
Speaking about this Deborah Wahl, Head of the marketing department of General Motors stated “Unlike ever before we came up with capability, technology, solutions, scale to everyone in an electric vehicle. Our refreshed logo and new campaign are designed to represent this.”
