Recently, a ‘Shaurya KGC Card’ was released for the Armed Forces by HDFC Bank, the private sector lender. This exclusive product is filled with many new features, based on the guidelines of Kisan Credit Card. The bank has said that ‘Shaurya KGC Card’ would help more than 45 lakh, Indian military workers.

The Shaurya KGC Card has an average life coverage of 10 lakh as compared to 2 lakh. In view of the essence of the job of the army personnel, this card offers clear and easy documentation, which is not physically present.

The Shaurya KGC Card would provide funding for agricultural needs, such as crop production, maintenance after harvest, and consumption requirements for military personnel. We can also use this money to buy agricultural machinery, irrigation equipment, and build warehouses, “said HDFC Bank in its statement, who can also use the loan facility in their branches or through the e-Kisan Dhan app.

This service would be available for all branches of the armed forces, including those serving in the Army, Navy, and Air force around 45 lakh and more.

Lannover’s Shahurya KGC Card is targeted primarily at the military personnel, who come from semi-urban and rural areas, under the HDFC Bank ‘Har Gaon Hamara’ initiative. ‘Har Gaon Hamara’ aims to provide customers in rural and poorly served parts of the country with banking facilities.

Aditya Puri, Managing Director of the HDFC Bank, on the eve of India’s 74th Independence Day, launched the new product digitally from Mumbai. Also present were Rajinder Babbar, Head of Business, Rural Banking Group, HDFC Bank.

“This is the same good product for the brothers and sisters in the military as we do for the farmers. This is a donation for our protectors on Independence Day,” added Puri.

Shaurya KGCC card is primarily targeted at army personnel from semi-urban and rural communities. This innovative product is equipped with a range of newly incorporated elements based on Kisan credit card guidelines. It has created 12 Krishi Dhan Vikas Kendras across India, allowing farmers to use facilities such as soil testing and other facilities.
