Feb 15, 2013: Godrej Appliances which is a subsidiary of Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company Ltd. has entered into technology collaboration with Bosch and Siemens to develop energy efficient refrigerators for India, West Asia, Africa and Asia Pacific. The collaboration between one of the biggest Home appliances brand and a global home appliance manufacturer is surely going to create a best in class refrigerator which would be energy efficient. Godrej is known for its experience in developing energy efficient green technologies and Bosch and Siemens have got a rich global experience and expertise in cutting edge technologies. Bosch and Siemens is considered as the third largest appliance manufacturers in the world and the first in Europe.
The new range of energy efficient refrigerators which will be sold under the brand name of Godrej and Bosch and Siemens will be manufactured at Shirwal Plant of Godrej which is in Pune. Both the companies expect that energy efficient refrigerators will benefit the consumers to a great extent by reducing their electricity bills and also contribute to the environment. They expect that people in emerging economies with increased purchasing power will upgrade to new lifestyles and high end appliances which will spiral a growth for high end refrigerators like this.
