04th December 2022, Hyderabad: A highly engaging Round 3 of Motor sporting extravaganza, the Indian Racing League concluded at the Madras International Circuit with Godspeed Kochi capitalizing on their last week’s performance and Speed Demons Delhi rising to the occasion in the third and final Chennai leg.
Speed Demons Delhi entered this third leg at the bottom of the points table to concluding a very successful weekend with a pole position in Q2, victory in Sprint Race 2 and second spot in the feature race. Godspeed Kochi secured the top spot in Q1, victory in Sprint Race 1 to conclude a very successful weekend for both the teams.
The Indian Racing League effectively finished its third weekend race at MIC Chennai today with a Sprint race and the 35-minute final Feature race on day two. It was Hyderabad Black Birds that rose to the occasion and emerged victorious in the final feature race of the Chennai Leg.
Speed Demons Delhi represented by Akash Gowda, Shahan Ali Mohsin, Célia Martin and Mitchell Gilbert took pole positions with Shahan Ali putting up a lap time of 1:31.630 followed by Jon Lancaster holding the flag for the Chennai Turbo Riders with a best lap time of 1:31.758
In the feature race reserving the top spot was Jani Neel & Akhil Rabindra representing the Hyderabad Black Birds with a comprehensive win (00:41:20.848) followed by Speed Demons Delhi represented by Shahan Ali Mohsin and Akash Gowda and Bangalore Speedsters represented by Rishon Rajeev & Bianca Bustamante cemented second and third spot with an overall lap timing of 00:41:21.384 & 00:41:22.633 respectively
With all six teams winning taking pole positions in different races over the last two week, the final Hyderabad leg at the Hyderabad Street Circuit is expected to be an enthralling contest for the best team to win the championship for the inaugural season of the Indian Racing League.
The Fourth and the final leg of the Indian Racing League will be conducted on 10th & 11th December 2022 at the Hyderabad Street Circuit.
