India, 16th February: goSTOPS, India’s fastest growing backpacker hostel brand and leisure experiences provider, celebrated ‘Foundation Day’ on 13th of February by setting afloat unique customer engagement initiatives at its various hostel properties. The guest engagement initiatives, such as selfie contests, photobooths, props, etc. were organized to enable the guests to have a gala time during their stay at the property, while marking the auspicious day together.
On the occasion, goSTOPS also highlighted its growth journey and underlined the brand’s future expansion plans. On 13th February, 2014, goSTOPS’ earliest guests inaugurated the first goSTOPS hostel property in Varanasi. Since 2014, goSTOPS has hosted more than 5,00,000 lakh travellers across its 30 properties. Despite covid’s severe impact on travel, the brand grew more than 2X during the pandemic; from 12 properties in 2019 to 30 hostels in 2021. During the same period, goSTOPS scaled 6X in the growth in number of beds available.
The company plans to expand to 8,000 and 20,000 beds by 2023 and 2024 respectively from 2,500 beds present currently, across its 30 properties in India.
