Great Learning, an edtech professional education company, has released its first television advertisement, ‘Power Ahead,’ emphasizing the value of lifelong learning and demonstrating how, at the right time, specialized expertise in a specific area will assist professionals in their professional career.

It was conceptualized and directed by Sideways Consulting’s Abhijit Avasthi, and Corcoise Films’ Prasoon Pandey. Through this campaign, Great Learning seeks to boost the importance of upskilling in the digital economy.

The video underlines the fact that simply good success is no longer adequate for career development. The ad video, which is aimed at young professionals and college students, revolves around two friends who used to be batch mates and now colleagues. One of them has shot ahead throughout his career with the aid of constant upskilling to become the boss of another. The protagonist makes the point in a comical way that he is ahead in his life as he is able to do today, what his friend hopes will do tomorrow. The theory is, those who upskill without procrastinating at the right moment will scale the career ladder quicker because superior positions require superior skills.

Today, lifelong learning is the new standard for all knowledge employees and one can not expect to progress in their careers without constantly acquiring new skills, said Hari Krishnan Nair, co-founder, Great Acquiring. “With Power Ahead,’ we hope to motivate practitioners to consistently target for strong, upskill and be poised for the major opportunities. With this TVC, we indulge in a conversation with our clients, in a language and meaning to which they can respond, while sharing our central goal of making professionals.

Avasthi, Sideways Consulting, said, “I’m very excited to lay the groundwork for the Great Learning brand story. With the world so fast-evolving, in the coming years, upskilling will be critical for India and its workforce. Our story takes an utter reality alive — ‘growth only comes from learning’ — in a dramatic manner that most of us have heard elsewhere.

The TVC will be aired on leading national GEC, news and sports media for 4-5 weeks. The presence will be further expanded by leading digital front video channels to affirm Great Learning’s role as the go-to destination for upskilling and higher education acquisitions.

Great Learning has delivered more than 25 million hours of transformational learning, empowering 300,000 + learners by helping them upskill in technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, cloud computing, cybersecurity, digital marketing, etc. The company has also launched its free learning resource, the Great Learning Academy, in March 2020 to help professionals upgrade their skills. The platform has already benefited more than four lakh learners including employees from 700 global and Indian MNCs and PSUs as well as students from over 1,000 universities and colleges, including IITs, IIMs, and NITs.
