The arrival of the UK-based creative agency Cake has been announced by Havas Group India. The first creative agency in India to focus on sport, culture, and entertainment will be Cake.

The company will be a part of Havas Creative Group India, which has experienced rapid growth as a result of client wins, acquisitions, and strategic alliances. The creative group includes the companies Havas Worldwide India (creative), Havas CX (customer experience), Think Design (UI/UX), Conran Design Group Mumbai (brand design), Shobiz Havas (experiential), and Havas QED (integrated), its most recent entry into eastern India.

In addition to working closely with Shobiz Havas and the recently updated Havas Sports & Entertainment division of Havas Media Group India, Cake will be seamlessly integrated with Havas Village India. Cake will further bolster Shobiz Havas’ experience in the area of activation and transactions, as well as Havas Sports and Entertainment’s alliances.

Havas Group India has named Rajika Mittra as Managing Partner to oversee Cake in India. Rajika has more than 20 years of experience working in fast-growing economies like Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. She is an expert in business development, conceptualising high-end projects in the media and entertainment, sports, and luxury events industries across Asia, as well as bringing India’s first Michelin star experience to the nation.

Rana Barua, group CEO of Havas Group India, stated that they have been enhancing their products in India over the past few years through Meaningful Conversations, the introduction of new expertise, strategic tie-ups, acquisitions, and joint ventures. Since they expanded from 3 to 15 businesses and specialised verticals as a result, they had unprecedented growth.

She continued that their goal is to establish themselves as the nation’s most future-ready network as they return to normalcy by emphasising the introduction of knowledge, goods, and technologies that are unique to India. This goal will definitely be attained by bringing cake to India. The youthful affluent class in India has also been steadily growing, and they are drawn to fresh, cutting-edge experiences. In order to move forward with these redefined ideas, Cake will work seamlessly with Havas Village India.

Rosie Holden, Chief Executive Officer of Cake stated that cake’s experience in sport & culture, our channel-agnostic creativity, and unlimited passion and energy have always delivered best-in-class work for their clients. Given that India is currently the most dynamic sports and entertainment market in the world, they felt there was simply no better time to introduce Cake to the country. And they are grateful that their collaboration with Havas Group India has made it possible.

Rajika Mittra, managing partner of Cake India, said that according to her the novelty of the concept was what truly got her attention with Cake. In the areas of sport, culture, and entertainment, she have come to see that there is untapped potential for a structured ecosystem like Cake.
