HCL and IBM collaborate to bring digital transformation to organizations

To accelerate digital transformation by migrating enterprise mission-critical workloads to the IBM public cloud, HCL Technologies (HCL) and IBM announced a new collaboration. The IBM Ecosystem Unit (IEU) at HCL will help the clients from financial services, telecommunications, life sciences & healthcare, and energy & utilities to develop the cloud-based and digital solution and enhance their cloud migration journey. These solutions will be built using IBM Cloud Paks on the IBM public cloud, containerized software running on Red Hat OpenShift, and Watson-powered advanced data and analytics.

HCL’s IEU will leverage on IBM Cloud, data & analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning capabilities, and security to offer a wide spectrum of services and solutions and foster innovation for enterprises. Clients can design workshops and remotely access the best technology from the company’s Cloud Native Labs which is supported by IBM Cloud and Red Hat environments for concept proofing and solution building. IBM’s Cloud Native Labs is situated in the United States (Dallas), United Kingdom (London), and India (NCR).

According to Kalyan Kumar, Corporate Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, IT Services, HCL Technologies, this new relationship with IBM will empower the company’s Vision and strategy in responding to the rapidly changing world. HCL will work with enterprises in regulated industries such as financial services and life sciences on leveraging IBM public cloud. HCL’s DRYiCE portfolio is currently running on IBM’s public cloud. With this collaboration, HCL plans to extend its product portfolio including the development of new SaaS offerings on the IBM Cloud.
