HCL Foundation (HCLF), the CSR arm of HCL Technologies, virtually unveiled the ‘My E-Haat’ online site on the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day. HCLF intends to develop a comprehensive approach that includes both backward and forward connections through this special effort. By retaining craftsmen and primary producers at its heart, it will boost the handicraft sector and promote local products.
The ‘My E-Haat’ platform will allow craftsmen and primary producers to publish and exhibit their items to do commerce, reducing the need for informal intermediaries and often lengthy supply chains. In addition to real-time product tracking, the platform will include e-payment alternatives, Cash on Delivery (COD), and integrated logistic assistance.
The platform will also include choices for a quality control process, pricing setting, promotion, marketing, and grievance redressal, as well as assistance with raw material procurement, product design and training, financial inclusion, and market connection. The program will provide craftsmen and primary producers with skill-building opportunities, as well as market connections and links to government social security schemes and entitlements.
The portal will also act as a platform to provide recipients with appropriate market-driven knowledge, including technical and non-technical elements, to help them enhance their goods in terms of design and packaging, as well as to foster entrepreneurial potential and augur market knowledge.
The ‘My E-Haat’ project will also empower talented craftsmen by bringing them to the forefront and allowing them to share their tales and knowledge. Currently, ‘My E-Haat’ has 30+ partners from 8 states in India, with 600+ items listed, and many more partners/artisans from around the country will be joining by the end of the year.
In the next months, the HCL Foundation will open a ‘My E-Haat’ gallery to display items from around the country and develop cooperation possibilities with various government agencies and prestigious organizations.
Ms. Nidhi Pundhir, Director of the HCL Foundation, stated, “HCL Foundation is devoted to bringing about a good change in communities via its sustainable initiatives.” We are thrilled to announce the start of the My E-Haat project, which will not only promote a unique place for Corporate – NGO – Government – Artisan collaboration, but will also aid the skilled workforce in creating an alternate source of sustainable income.
In the future years, my E-Haat venture will be a one-of-a-kind (A2C) model in which Artisans will directly engage with the Customer. My E-Haat portal will help to bring the inventiveness of talented craftsmen from all across the country to the attention of the world, resulting in higher recognition, admiration, and payment.
In the future years, the HCL Foundation wants to engage with a larger number of craftsmen and primary producers across the country, bridging the gap created by a lack of skill training, market evaluation, and strengthening supply chain infrastructure.”
