The importance of education has grown over the years which resulted in the setup of many schools and higher education facilities in almost all parts of the country to make it accessible to all sections of society irrespective of their socio-economic status. Today, there are many online education platforms in the world to make education easily accessible to a mass group.

The pandemic has shattered the dreams of many children who are not able to continue education due to the loss of their parents or breadwinner of the family. Edtech major Vedantu has launched an initiative called ‘Help India Learn’ to pursue education for children who are unable to afford it. The startup has set apart Rs 15 crore to help about 12,000 affected children. The fund will be disbursed through NGOs and partner organizations to assist the impacted children in the provision of food, shelter, educational tools, and educational expenses.
According to Pulkit Jain (co-founder & product head, Vedantu), the pandemic has created a digital divide concerning K12 education and is worst affected by children, who have lost their parents or breadwinner of the family. It’s been years that Vedantu is supporting underprivileged children and Help India Learn is a well-structured program to help maximum children who are affected by the pandemic. The program aims to adopt children academically to continue their lives.
The individuals, NGOs who are interested to help the pandemic-affected children can team up with Vedantu and collaborate to encourage the pursuit of education. Vedantu is undertaking discussions with 6 to 7 organizations to partner with the initiative. The company also launches a webpage for the program to invite interest from organizations to take part in the initiative.
