It is based on the incident of a teenage girl who, after experiencing her first pimple, inquired about the science of pimples from her older sister. She is questioned skeptically by the little child as to why she shouldn’t use soap in response. The older sister then explains using a comparable test on a flower petal (representing the skin on the face) how soap can harm the skin and cause pimples to return.
