HP to launch new innovative “voice tablets” in India next month

January 16, 2013: In order to make use of the growing phablet market in India, Hexlett-Packard has announced its plans to launch new innovative “voice tablets” in India next month. The phone tablet category which is termed as Phablets are phones which have got more than 5.5 inch screen size. HP would be launching the voice tablets in the India which is termed as a fast growing cell phone market with 6 inch and 7 inch screens.

Speaking about the launch of Voice Tablets, Rong Coughlin, Senior VP, HP (Consumer Personal Systems Group) was quoted as saying “Consumers are looking to consolidate their phones and tablets, which is propelling the voice tablet market and this is an exciting new category that represents a meaningful growth opportunity for HP. Our HP Slate VoiceTab provides consumers with a high-quality product at a great value”

The HP Voice Tablets would be powered by a Quad Core processor and is built on Android Operating System. The other features that HP Slate6 and HP Slate7 would be having a Dual SIM with Dual Standby feature and would be supporting 3G. The HP Slate would be equipped with front and rear cameras which will help the users to do video calling as well.
