Hummel, a sportswear brand, is going to be FC Bengaluru United’s official kitting and merchandise partner in the upcoming season of 2022, according to an announcement made by the latter. The Danish sportswear brand is one of the most experienced companies in the merchandising business, and will produce the home and away jerseys, practice kits, and other fan merchandise for FC Bengaluru United. All of them be crafted with Hummel’s distinctive methodology.
The new gear captures the traditional essence of Karnataka and is underlined by FC Bengaluru United’s vibrant and energetic spirit. It will soon be available on Hummel’s website. The Denmark National Football Team and Everton FC are among several of the football clubs around the world for which Hummel is the kit partner.
Gaurav Manchanda, the owner of FC Bengaluru United, said that the club is excited to welcome Hummel as its merchandise partner for the upcoming season. Hummel translates the club’s vision into their new design. “We can’t wait to take the field in our new kit. Hummel’s experience perfectly complements our youthful and vibrant philosophy. We believe the new kit that they have designed for us will resonate with all FCBU fans,” Manchanda said.
Soumava Naskar, Director – India & Southeast Asia, Hummel India, said that this partnership with FC Bengaluru United is a significant addition to Hummel’s portfolio which already includes partnerships with Hyderabad FC, Everton FC, and the Denmark National Team, among several other key football teams. He said that Hummel is excited to work with FC Bengaluru United. They are a young and vibrant football club with a deep local connection, and it was exciting to explore that as the concept to bring about in the new kit.
The Bengaluru team has had a year of steady success, both on and off the field. They held on to their status as BDFA Super Division champions following an unbeaten run in the 2021-22 edition. The club signed a deal with Khalid Jamil, one of the most sought-after Indian coaches, to be their head coach. Earlier this year, in June, FCBU also hosted a Football Hackathon along with the Spanish footballing giant Sevilla FC.
