Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), India’s first smart mobility solutions provider and the country’s biggest exporter since it began, has announced that reservations for the Hyundai IONIQ 5, its long-awaited BEV SUV, can be made starting on December 21, 2022. Hyundai IONIQ 5 will be the first BEV to be built on Hyundai Motor Group’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). This is an innovative system that was made just for next-generation battery electric vehicles that will usher in a new era of clean transportation. The Hyundai IONIQ 5 has a modern and futuristic design that breaks away from traditional shapes. It explores a new age, a highly innovative design philosophy that has its roots in the iconic Hyundai PONY. The Hyundai IONIQ 5 is designed to offer the best e-mobility experience, with luxurious interiors and top-notch comfort. It adds luxury and versatility to every trip. The Hyundai IONIQ 5 was built from the ground up on the E-GMP platform to offer the next level of smart mobility and the highest level of safety and convenience. Hyundai’s “Global Design Identity” is “Sensuous Sportiness.” The Hyundai IONIQ 5 reflects the company’s goal to make a product that is ready for the future and has innovation at its core. At a one-of-a-kind event in Mumbai, Maharashtra, the Hyundai IONIQ 5’s Vehicle to Load (V2L) feature was shown off. The company also announced the date when bookings for the BEV SUV will be open. On the evening of December 20, 2022, Hyundai used the V2L feature of the Hyundai IONIQ 5 to light up the historic “Gateway of India.”
