On Wednesday, Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) announced the launch of ten new models of mid-sized sedans based on the 4S Fluidic Verna in the price bracket between Rs 7.73 lakh and Rs 12.19 lakh. This new model is touted to have undergone broad testing as per the condition of the Indian roads.
The 4S Fluidic Verna is claimed to be designed with a rear shock absorber with low velocity control valves that will assure a smooth ride on bumpy roads even at high speeds. The firm added that the new model of Verna was developed by Hyundai’s research and development team based inKoreaafter carrying out a research to know the customer demands for different road and climatic conditions.
Mechanically, the 4S Fluidic Verna comes in both diesel and petrol variants. There are five petrol variants and five diesel variants of the mid-sized sedan. The petrol variants come with two engine options such as Gamma 1.4 and Gamma 1.6 VTVT that provide a fuel mileage between 17.01 and 17.04 km per litre. On the other hand, the diesel models also support two engine options such as U2 1.4 CRDi and U2 1.6 CRDi VGT capable of providing between 23.9 and 24.8 kmpl fuel mileage.
When it comes to looks, the new Verna model features a wing shaped radiator grille, boomerang shaped fog lamps and projector headlamps on the exterior. Also, there are contoured front and rear seats, height adjustable driver seat and rear seat arm rests with cup holders and sliding console arm rest.
It has been claimed by Hyundai Motor India that they provide top priority to safety and security. In this way, it is claimed that the 4S Fluidic Verna comes equipped with a comprehensive list of active and passive safety equipments such as six air bags for the driver and passengers, curtain, speed sensing auto door lock and anti-lock braking system (ABS).
Regarding the launch, B.S. Seo, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at HMIL claimed that Verna is an outcome of human engineering that is meant to contribute to the brilliant moments of customers’ life. He added that besides rendering eye-catching fluidic design, the vehicle also features the technical finesse that is needed to enhance driver and passenger comfort.
