Bengaluru, January 11, 2024: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India through its Research Committee is organising the ICAI Awards for Excellence in Financial Reporting since the year 1958 to recognise and encourage excellence in preparation and presentation of financial as well as non-financial information in the annual reports by the entities across various sectors. 

This year ICAI has received 207 nominations under 12 major categories. As per the procedure, these entities must undergo a rigorous and robust three-tier evaluation process comprising of review by Technical Reviewers & Head Technical Reviewers, review of shortlisted annual reports by Shield Panel and final review by Eminent Jury.  

After long deliberation, Jury panel under the Chairmanship of Smt. Soma Mondal, Member, Public Enterprises Selection Board selected the Best, Second Best and Commendable Entity which would be felicitated with Gold Shield, Silver Shield and Plaque at the grand ceremony.  

The award presentation ceremony would celebrate hard work put in by the preparers of Annual Report. In an era where transparency is paramount, it would serve as a platform to recognise and applaud efforts of organisations that go above and beyond in showcasing the best reporting practices.  

The awards ceremony will be held on the afternoon of 13th January 2024 (Saturday) at Hotel Mayfair Lake Resort, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The ceremony would be graced by Shri Brijmohan Agrawal, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Govt. of Chhattisgarh as Guest of Honor. It will also mark the presence of ICAI leadership CA. Aniket Sunil Talati, President, ICAI, and CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, Vice-President, ICAI along with CA. (Dr.) Debashis Mitra, Immediate Past President, ICAI, CA. (Dr.) Anuj Goyal, Chairman, Research Committee, ICAI, CA. Cotha S Srinivas, Vice-Chairman, Research Committee, ICAI and other Central Council Members of ICAI. 

The event would not only be an opportunity to honour exceptional practices but also a chance for professionals to connect, share insights and foster collaboration within the financial community
