ICC T20 WC ’21- Average Ad Vol. for Celebrity Endorsed Ads Up

The ICC T20 WC 21 Celebrity Endorsement Report has been released by TAM Sports. According to the report, celebrity-endorsed advertising accounted for 56 percent of overall ad volume during the ICC T20 WC’21, compared to 39 percent at the ICC T20 WC’16.

In the ICC T20 WC’21, film actors and sports personalities jointly made for 82 percent of the ad volume share of celebrity-backed advertising. During the ICC T20 WC’21, Shahrukh Khan came out on top with a 14 percent share of ad volumes.

Celebrity-endorsed advertising accounted for 56 percent of total ad volume at the ICC T20 WC’21, compared to 39 percent at the ICC T20 WC’16. When comparing ICC T20 WC’16 to ICC T20 WC’21, the average ad volume per channel for celebrity-endorsed advertising increased by 80%.

Film actors and sports personalities made for 82 percent of the celebrity-endorsed advertising in the ICC T20 WC’21 programs in terms of ad volume. With more than three times growth in per channel Ad Volumes, the share of commercials with Sports Personality increased from 16 percent to 29 percent.

The overall number of celebrities increased by 33% during the ICC T20 WC’21 compared to the ICC T20 WC’16. The number of sports personalities increased by 111 percent during the ICC T20 WC’21 compared to the ICC T20 WC’16.

When comparing the ICC T20 WC’16 to the ICC T20 WC’21, the number of advertisers who used celebrity endorsement climbed by 17%. Virat Kohli was the most popular sports personality, with 18 percent of the vote and endorsements from five brands.

During the ICC T20 WC’21, Shahrukh Khan was the most popular celebrity, accounting for 14% of ad volume.The only common star among the Top 5 list for the ICC T20 WC 2016 and 2021 was Ajay Devgan. In both the ICC T20 WC events, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were among the Top 5 Sports Personalities.

During the ICC T20 WC’21, three of the top five categories endorsed by celebrities belonged to the E-commerce sector. During the ICC T20 WC’21, the top five categories and advertisers accounted for 66 percent and 51 percent of Celebrity ad volumes, respectively.
