Piyush Mishra, the creative force behind Ballimaaraan, is a versatile artist who has left an indelible mark on Indian cinema and theater. An accomplished actor, singer, lyricist, playwright, musician, and screenwriter, Mishra’s talent knows no bounds. Hailing from Gwalior, he honed his craft at the prestigious National School of Drama in Delhi, graduating in 1986.
Curated by the multi-talented artist Piyush Mishra, Ballimaaraan is a band that pays tribute to the legendary Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib. This musical homage is a journey through the lanes of Delhi where Ghalib once lived, weaving together the beauty of poetry and the magic of melodies. Formed in 2016, the band has captured hearts across the country with its enchanting performances.
Ballimaaraan has taken the stage in numerous cities, enthralling audiences with soul-stirring renditions of iconic songs such as “Aarambh Hai Prachand,” “Husna,” “Uth Ja Bhau,” and many more.
