Jan 13, 2013: As per the latest reports, India is now the fourth largest market for Sony. This has exceeded the company’s expectation of making India as their 5th largest market for their different consumer electronics products. India has surpassed Brazil and Russia in terms of market performance during the last 9 months. The company in India crossed Rs 600 crore in Sales as per the sales figures available till December 2012.
The company spokesperson stated that as their smartphone Xperia Tipo has found success in the Indian market, they are planning to launch similar models in India. The company plans for hitting Rs 8200 crore this fiscal year.
