Chennai, 15.08.2023, Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), a prominent public sector bank, celebrated the 77th Independence Day with fervour and pride at their Central Office. The event was marked by a grand parade, the hoisting of the National flag by Shri Ajay Kumar Srivastava, MD & CEO, and the resonating melodies of the National anthem at 0800 Hours.
The celebration continued with a profound display of unity, as MD & CEO Shri Ajay Kumar Srivastava led the participants in taking the Pledge of National Integration, followed by the recitation of the Panch Pran Pledge. As part of IOB’s commitment to its Vision and Mission, a granite stone engraved with the bank’s Vision and Mission statement was unveiled, symbolizing the bank’s dedication to its goals.
In a demonstration of environmental consciousness and connection to the soil, IOB initiated the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign by planting Amrit Vatikas. This gesture reaffirms the bank’s dedication to its role in the development of the nation.
The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries including Ms S Srimathy, Executive Director, Shri Rajeev Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer, and various General Managers and Senior Executives of IOB. The passion and enthusiasm of IOB’s employees were evident, as they wholeheartedly participated in the celebration of the nation’s freedom.
